Lightcast expects to update to the <a href="https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/metro-micro/about/delineation-files.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">2023 MSA delineations</a> in the late fall 2024, with the <b>2024.4 datarun; </b>this is tentatively scheduled to be available in October 2024.<b> </b>

Lightcast data is based heavily on <a href="https://kb.lightcast.io/en/articles/7934107-quarterly-census-of-employment-and-wages-qcew">QCEW</a>, which is scheduled to update <a href="https://www.bls.gov/cew/classifications/areas/area-guide.htm" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">with 2024 data</a>, expected September 2024.
