Labor Insight allows the use of asterisks (*) as wildcards in free-text search fields such as Title, Skill, Certifications, Employer, and Keyword.

Wildcards return all applicable variants of a search term, allowing you to cover multiple potential options in one search.

For example, if I am looking to understand the distribution of common job titles relating to Merchandise I have 53 postings returned when I search by Merchandise alone.

However, when I search by Merchandis* I have 284 postings returned as I am now allowing variants through such as Merchandiser, Merchandise, and Merchandising.
