"Highest Attainment" vs. "All Education" Filters
When filtering profiles, the profile counts differ depending on whether you choose All Education or Highest Attainment.
For a specific educational program (i.e. Pharmacy):
All Education = Doctorate only includes profiles where the selected program entry itself is a doctorate (e.g., someone who completed a Doctorate in Pharmacy).
Highest Attainment = Doctorate includes anyone with a record in that program (at any level — bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate) as long as their overall highest qualification in any field is a doctorate.
As an example:
A profile contains a Master’s in Chemistry and a PhD in Physics:
This profile will not appear under All Education = Doctorate (Chemistry) (since the Chemistry entry is a master’s)
But it will appear under Highest Attainment = Doctorate (Chemistry) (because Chemistry is listed somewhere in the education history, and the overall highest qualification is a doctorate).
Differences at the overall education level
When looking across all programs, the counts also differ:
All Education = Bachelor’s shows everyone who has at least a bachelor’s degree, even if they later earned a master’s or doctorate.
Highest Attainment = Bachelor’s only shows those whose final or overall highest degree is a bachelor’s.
