How to create a group

There are a few different ways to create a group. Firstly, lets take a look at the simplest and most common way.

  1. Click "Groups" in the top toolbar,

  2. Select the type of group you'd like to create in the drop down menu (Industry, Occupation, etc.)

  3. Click on "Create Group"

  4. From here you choose the items for your group in a number of ways. You can search use the options at the top of the page to select how detailed you would like to go. These are SIC codes for industries, SOC codes for occupations and there are various options for regions. You can also use the search bar (which is great for smaller groups).

  5. Assign your group a name and click Save.

Here is an example where we create a Region Group comprising several Local Authorities in Sussex.

For certain categories (Industry, Occupations, and Regions) you can create a group by accessing a search bar in any report.

  1. Enter your group into the search bar. You can do this by manual typing, using radius from address or the browse function.

  2. Click "Save" in top of the bar

  3. Assign your group a name and click Save.
