Lightcast Companies

Lightcast Companies is a highly curated collection of global companies, focusing on top employers, operating companies, and links to the Ultimate Corporate Parent.

Our long-term vision is for this dataset to become the foundational organization layer across Lightcast products, connecting organization profiles, job postings, workforce insights, technographics, and other datasets into a unified, high-quality view of organizations across the commercial, government, education, and nonprofit sectors.

Company revenues, number of employees, industry codes, and links to the ultimate parent company are key fields we cover that will be of interest to our customers.

We are building out our coverage over several releases.

  • Lightcast Companies V1 (June 2026) will have 45 of the 89 fields in the companies data dictionary populated, covering ~90M global companies. We are investing significant resources to ensure the quality of our data, focusing on the Fortune 1000, the most active job posters over the past three years, global public companies, and those linked to 100 or more profiles.

  • Lightcast Companies V2 (July 2026) will populate another 34 fields and undergo further quality checks

  • Lightcast Companies V3 (August 2026) will provide the full data set of 89 fields

We are maintaining continuity with our current company naming conventions and company IDs, and doing everything possible to minimize the impact on our customer workflows and integrations as we expand our coverage.

This initiative represents a major investment in creating a more scalable, accurate, and connected organizational intelligence foundation for the future. Because this product is currently in beta, customers should expect continued evolution of the data, coverage, and supporting documentation as we refine and expand the offering.

Going forward, we will provide monthly updates to Lightcast Companies, with stringent quality assurance to maintain the soundness of the collection and ensure that any changes we make to data concerning our top-tier companies are validated.
