To run a City Overview report, navigate to the 'Reports' section on the platform and select 'City Overview' from the list of available reports. You must then select one city to analyze. You can start typing the city name to see autofill recommendations. For areas where city-level data might not be available, the report includes a county-level roll-up that covers. To add the county-level data, select one or more county data points (Labor Force Breakdown, Education Attainment, Unemployment Demographics, or Inbound Outbound Migrations).

The report immediately generates and displays key metrics at the top, starting with Total Regional Employment, which shows the current employment figures, historical growth over the past five years, and projected growth for the next five years. Adjacent to this, the Regional Salary section provides the average salary across different sectors within the city, along with the year-over-year growth rate.

Users can view the Job Increase Percentage and Numbers section. This part of the report offers a dual view of employment changes: the historical data showcases the percentage and actual number of job increases over the past five years, providing a clear picture of recent employment trends. The top 3 Industries section presents a comprehensive analysis of the top-performing industries within the city based on employment and growth metrics.

When accessing the Historic & Projected Trends section of the report, users first encounter a detailed visual representation and analysis of job growth trends in the selected city. The report illustrates job increases from 2018 to 2023 against the national growth rate and the growth within the state for comparative analysis. Adjacent to this historical overview, the projections segment of the report offers forecasts for the expected job increases over the next five years (2023-2028).
