Lightcast has improved its title normalization process described here on postings and profile data.
When will this change take place?
This change will take place on the 3rd July 2025.
What are the benefits of this change?
Lightcast's improved title normalization will use the newest version of our coding which will enable:
More raw titles to be normalized to a Lightcast Title
Better accuracy of raw title normalization to Lightcast Title, for example: raw titles like ".Net Developer (Locals Only)" were previously normalizing to "Lead .NET Developers", in the improved normalization the raw title will be normalizing to ".NET Developer" Lightcast Title.
What will this change mean for me?
All historic postings and profiles data will be better normalized using the improved process, so data will be consistent for time series analysis. Customers may want to rerun analyses as we are expecting to see some shifts across normalized titles.
