Basic Technical Requirements

To use Lightcast web-based software applications (such as Analyst and/or Alumni Pathways), make sure your web browser, computer hardware and internet connection meet the minimum requirements listed below. We are unlikely to be able to support or address issues that result from your computer or internet connection not meeting these requirements. These requirements will be updated from time to time as technology develops.

A Modern, Updated Web Browser

For the best experience, use the most recent stable version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. We strongly encourage you to install any periodic updates released by your browser’s publisher.

Note: Opera, Internet Explorer, and mobile browsers are not supported.

Javascript & Cookies Enabled

Whatever browser you use, it must have Javascript and “cookies” enabled.

Ability to Temporarily Disable Browser Extensions

Certain browser extensions (especially Ad Blockers) may interfere with your experience in Lightcast software. If you encounter issues, we suggest temporarily disabling any browser extensions to see if that resolves the problem.

Computer Hardware

Analyst will run effectively on a computer or device that is configured with the hardware and Operating System needed to run one of the modern, updated web browsers listed above.

Monitor & Display Settings

For Analyst and Alumni Pathways in particular, we recommend using a monitor with display settings set to a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels or higher.

Internet Connection

An internet connection with access to website domains used by Lightcast software is required.
