Marketing professionals are defined as those who plan, direct, and coordinate the production of marketing plans, policies, and materials. Other duties:

  • Researching market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product

  • Planning and coordinating the production of collateral materials, such as posters, contests, coupons or giveaways to create extra interest in the purchase of a product or service for an organization

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing policies and programs for a firm, such as determining the demand for products and services offered, developing pricing strategies, and overseeing development or monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services
